Does your body position not change at all? I find that hard to believe (but if you say it's the same for you, then I believe it's the same for you) have you consciously made a mental check of you technique to compare them? I find that if I paddle my boat 'normally' the nose buries :( , to counteract this I lean back slightly, although it has been suggested that lifting the boat on an edge can also allieviate this problem (I've only compared this on flat water - I don't think I lean back on moving water as the back tends to get grabbed a lot anyway! - counteracting the burying action?). This is what I meant by different techniques to create a more efficient paddle stroke (In a larger boat I can lean slightly forward in order to use more of my body in the stroke) 1 - In order to gain signatures you need to assist on a course provided by a CCP - does this infer that courses run by non CCP's are of a poorer quality and lower standard? If not, why can a non CCP recognise a colleague as being of the same standard? Towards Low Bentham there are two larger weirs. The first vertical weir Sunday was one of my weirdest days' boating ever. Lowest ever River Erme run in the morning, highest ever (successful!) I had a MAJOR wipe out though..... I bounced off the wave, the boat went upside down (in the air!) and I landed with a thump on the face, knocked the wind out of me! :) |
